"Iblis in Iblis is the Door to the Shadow of the Self"
The Nameless, Summer 2025

The Second Tenet is based on the Second Rift of the narrative.

II.
The Second Tenet

Iblis in Iblis is the Door to the Shadow of the Self.

In the Second Rift, Iblis is physically cursed and exiled for having refused the order of divinity to give obeisance or prostration to humanity, required to look into himself, and given his name in order to signify his ensuing condition.

The name, Iblis, means to persist in grief or despair, ever before death.

Instead of forgiveness, Iblis requests respite. This is reprieve, or time until the end of time to vindicate his disdain and prosecute his case against humanity.

Having shown divinity to divinity and himself to himself, Iblis vows to assail mankind by unveiling the nature of humanity before its eyes and those of divinity.

Before a veil of divinity, Iblis in Iblis brings the self to its understanding.
