Iblis before Iblis is the Door to the Shadow of the Divine.

In the First Rift, Iblis refuses to obey a command of divinity for homage to humanity as a whole. The divine is incited to retribution, but while the vital sedition of Iblis is incoherent with a divine command it is coherent with the divine plan.
The First Tenet is that Iblis, before he becomes Iblis, can offer us access to the door to the umbra of the divine. Through a clear grasp of his role in his narrative, we can better understand the nature of divinity and our own relationship to it.
